The calendar still says its winter, so the time has come for winter to return to the state this week. A storm is expected to move into the state on Friday. Snow, possibly heavy at times will fall Friday into early Saturday. There could be significant accumulations with this storm, with the possibility of at least 6 inches of snow somewhere south of US Hwy 20. It’s too early to determine where the heaviest snow will be or how much will actually fall. Winter Storm Watches will likely be issued later this afternoon and tonight.
