All of Iowa

A Look at Mid-Afternoon

Some light snow and flurries were scattered about the state this afternoon. Accumulations of 1-2 inches will be possible as snow will continue through Tuesday. The best chances of the heaviest accumulating snow will be the farther south you are. To the north, little if anything will fall except for a few flurries. Temperatures will remain in the teens for highs tomorrow as well.
Anyone traveling south to downstate Illinois or Missouri or elsewhere will need to watch out for heavy amounts of snow. Winter Storm Warnings have been issued for areas from Oklahoma City through Tulsa to St Louis to Louisville. Ice Storm Warnings and Freezing Rain advisories are also up further south as well so airport delays from Iowa to places like St Louis, Dallas or Memphis will be likely tonight into tomorrow.
