Residents in the following counties – that normally tune to the Ringsted frequency must re-tune their radio receivers to receive severe weather warning messages as follows:
Emmet County: Tune to Milford KZZ-80 on 162.550 MHz.
Palo Alto County: Tune to Milford – KZZ-80 on 162.550 MHz.
Kossuth County: Tune to Forest City – KJY-63 on 162.500 MHz.
Humboldt County: Tune to Fort Dodge – WXK-84 on 162.400 MHz.
Winnebago County: Tune to Forest City – KJY-63 on 162.500 MHz.
Hancock County: Tune to Forest City – KJY-63 on 162.500 MHz.
When NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio at Ringsted Iowa is returned to service – the National Weather Service website will notify users to tune their radios back to the Ringsted frequency.
