Dramatic Temperature Swings

This morning, it was brutually cold with readings in the 15 to 35 degree below zero range, but now at late afternoon all locations in Iowa (except Dubuque) have risen above zero! Some places have even reached the 20s ABOVE zero. Temperatures will hold steady or slowly rise (especially in the eastern half of Iowa) as a warm front moves in from the west. A new clipper storm will move SE across the area Saturday but most of the moisture will stay to the NE of the state with only a slight chance of a flurry in NE Iowa. Temperatures will rebound to average readings for this time of the year by next week.
