At just past 9pm, a moderate to heavy snow band was located mainly 20 miles either side of US Hwy 30 from Clinton to Cedar Rapids to Ames. Heavy snow was reported at Cedar Rapids at 9pm. Accumulations of 1/2 to 1 inch per hour is possible with this heavy snow band moving through. Snow will begin tapering off early tomorrow morning.
