It continues to snow this morning in the eastern part of the state, meanwhile the sky has begun to clear out west, with sunshine and brisk winds. Temperatures will drop throughout the day as a new cold push is delivered from the arctic. This will only last one day before a new storm moves in Friday. Snowfall amounts generally have ranged from 1-3 inches across the eastern part of Iowa. Another inch is possible as the snow moves off to the east. It will end by midday.
