NO CHANGE: The weather will stay fairly dry for the next few days outside a small chance of a few flurries or light snow showers tonight into Wednesday and perhaps again Thursday. Today we’ll see highs in the single digits north and teens to near 20 in the south. Wednesday will be warmer with teens and 20s to near 30 in the south with partly to mostly sunny skies.

WEEKEND WEATHER: The weather this weekend could get interesting by Sunday with the gulf beginning to open up and southerly winds taking hold across the area. Depending on any low level cold air that is trapped, we may see some rain, snow, or a mix of the two Sunday into Monday ahead of the storm we’ve mentioned over the last few days that is expected Next Tuesday and Wednesday (will mention it’s on the southerly track again after it had the northerly track on the 18z run yesterday) The forecast is very tricky with the wide ranging tracks of the low pressure so we may have to wait a few days to get a better scope of what kind of weather and what kind of precipitation we may receive late this weekend.

INTO FEBRUARY: No real trends taking hold as we move into the month of February. A few systems may drop down in a northwesterly flow that could bring some swaths of snow, but it’s way too early to give any sort of forecast when we’re having some suspicions about a storm less than a week out.
