DRY WEEK: It’s going to be sunny and dry across the state over the next week or so with some cool days and a few warmer day intermixed. Highs today will be in the 20s to lower 30s with warmer temperatures by midweek with highs approaching 40 especially in areas that have no snow on the ground at this time.

COLD ENFORCEMENT: The cold air from the northwest will continue to win the battle as another push comes Thursday that will bring readings back to near seasonal levels, but it will be lacking any moisture with the system. Only a few clouds will be possible with the passage of the storm system, the main energy staying to our north and northeast. The next best chance of seeing any precipitation may be at least a week out and right now that chance is looking iffy at best currently.

TOWARD THE END: Looking to ward the end of the month, we don’t see much of any trends setting up at this time, with the continuation of some cold pushes and some quick moderation. The one trend that isn’t looking too promising is the lack of any precipitation in the next two weeks, and that’s not a good sign for the farmers who need as much moisture as they can get for planting in a few months time.
