QUIET AND COLD: Tranquil weather will reign across the state for at least the next week with little to no chance of seeing any snowfall across the area. Readings will feel like there still is some snow on the ground with highs in the teens and 20s for most of the week with lows in the single digits to lower teens under mainly sunny skies.

CONTINUED COLD PUSHES: The GFS continues to indicate more cold air in the next two weeks with little spurts of light snow accompanying each new cold shot. This wouldn’t be a big snow by any means as the storms would be coming from the northwest and not tapping into the Gulf of Mexico for any added moisture. In any case any snow over the next two week time period will be light and likely a dry snow (good for skiing, bad for snowman making), but likely not enough for snowmobiling. Some of these cold shots could bring temperatures down below zero again across some parts of the state as well, but it’s too early to determine that at this time.
