A blizzard warning will go into effect at Noon Saturday for the following counties in Iowa, Osceola, Dickinson, Lyon, Sioux, Plymouth, Woodbury, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Ida and OBrien. A Winter Weather Advisory is also in effect in the same areas starting at 6am and going until Noon Saturday. The Blizzard Warning will expire Sunday afternoon. A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for areas in along and north of US Hwy 30 for Saturday into Sunday. These will likely be changed very early Saturday morning.
Snow will overspread the area from the northwest. Total accumulations will generally be from 1-4 inches across the state, but the wind will be the major factor as posted before with Blizzard conditions possible Saturday into Sunday.
