All of Iowa, Winter Weather

Mid Morning Update

Some freezing drizzle and sleet is currently moving northward through the eastern part of the state, also some light snow mixed with some sleet is currently moving through western and central Iowa. This is very light in nature as no reporting stations in western and central Iowa are reporting any precip at this time. The Quad Cities however is reporting freezing rain with a temperature of 25°. The freezing drizzle, sleet and freezing rain will continue until midday when temperatures should warm above freezing thus changing any frozen precip to rain.

Also a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued in NW Iowa, for the counties in the NWS Sioux Falls area. Expected snowfall amounts there from this storm system will range from 2-4 inches with some isolated heavier totals.
