Many roads in western and central Iowa have become partially or completely snow covered. Most of the snow has ended in the NW and NC part of Iowa with snow continuing further east. Winter Weather Advisories continue mainly east of Interstate 35 today. They should slowly be retracted or cancelled as the band of snow moves eastward. The problem for most of the afternoon hours will be the wind, gusting over 30 mph at times will blow the light fluffy snow around dropping visibilities down to less than 1/2 mile at times.
