DOWNWARD DIVE: Temperatures will continue to drop through the day from west to east as the cold front moves through. Showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible along and just behind the front. There won’t be any severe weather with these storms, but some gusty winds are possible. As temperatures drop, some of the rain may changeover to some wet snow or sleet during the late afternoon and evening hours in the eastern half of the state mainly. There will be little if any accumulation possible as ground temperatures are still too warm for any snow or sleet to stick.
COLD WEEK: It will stay cold with a slow warmup through the middle of the week. Highs Monday will be in the 30s statewide with 40s to near 50 by Tuesday and Wednesday. Skies will be clear with no chances of any precipitation until the following weekend at this point. Winds will turn southerly by the latter half of the week bringing the temperatures to near seasonal levels at this time.
THANKSGIVING: The latest model run shows dry weather for Turkey day with seasonal temperatures. There will be a system the day before with some precipitation, (likely rain). We’ll watch for any changes to that over the next few days.
