NOTE: No videos through Monday due to travel.
STORMY DAYS: The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk of severe weather mainly for this afternoon and evening across the far western counties of the state. The main threats as mentioned in earlier discussions will be from large hail and damaging straight line winds. The main window for storms will be from 3pm until 11pm tonight with some weakening thereafter. The main result from this storm will be the much colder temperatures that will flood the state Sunday and into next week. Rainfall from this storm could be significant with a half to as much as an inch and a half of rain. The precipitation at this time looks to stay mainly in the form of rain however, Sunday afternoon and evening we could see a switchover to some sleet or wet snow with little accumulation possible.
NOVEMBER BLUES: Temperatures will be very different from the 60s and lower 70s of yesterday and today. We may be lucky to get out of the 30s Monday and out of the lower 40s on Tuesday. Readings will slowly warm back to near 50, perhaps lower 50s by the middle to end of this coming week but it’s the beginning that is going to take its toll. Skies will be mainly sunny through Thursday with some possible rain Friday into the following weekend.
TRIMMINGS FOR TURKEY: In the latest chapter of “What the Weather Model says?” Today, it shows Thanksgiving to be relatively dry and seasonal with a possible storm out east and one in the Pacific Northwest. Most of the cold air will be up in Canada but as always we’ll see many more looks before we can really lock in on a trend.
