SAME OLD CALM: The weather headlines continue to be dominated by Sandy and its remnants over the Mid Atlantic and northeast, our weather remains pleasant with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs slowly climbing back into the 50s and some lower 60s especially on Wednesday in the western counties of the state.

THE LIQUID STUFF RETURNS: With Sandy moving out later this week, it will open the weather pattern back up and bring a storm system in Saturday into early on Sunday with a few showers possible. The rainfall right now looks to be light (under a tenth or so) but this could change. Sunday will be cooler behind the front with highs back into the 40s to lower 50s

ELECTION DAY: As everyone goes out to cast ballots for who they want to see elected, the weather right now doesn’t look like an excuse not go out and vote. There looks to be some ample sunshine around with readings in the 50s, typical early November weather for this part of the country.

COLD AIR AHEAD?: The GFS continues to hint at a cold push of air a few days after the election, but the two vortexes we saw on yesterday’s IWR have diminished at this time. (There’s still one, but not the second) We’ll keep watching.
