COLD BLUSTERY RAINY: Three words that will most identify the next 48 hours across the state with scattered shower chances continuing along with colder and breezier conditions. Highs today will be steady in the 40s and lower 50s with some slight improvement by about 5° on Friday with slightly less chance of rain at that time. Rainfall will be modest with a quarter to half inch across most areas, with isolated totals nearing three quarters of an inch.

WARMER WEEKEND: The weekend will undoubtedly be warmer with sunshine returning along with highs back into the 60s and perhaps low 70s on Sunday. The winds will switch to the southwest bringing in some moisture that may shower on us as early as Monday.

WEATHER WEEK: Next week will see more active weather and more chances of showers and perhaps even a few thunderstorms. Monday through Wednesday will see slight chances of some showers across the state. It will not be an all day rain, nor will be it cloudy all day. There will be peaks of sunshine with temperatures in the 60s and 70s across the state. A cold front will move into the state late next week which may bring some more numerous showers and thunderstorms at that time.
