GOODBYE WARMTH: It could be a while before we see warm temperatures that we have seen the last few days as a cold front will move through the state today with a few widely scattered showers. The main thing will be the much colder air that will sweep into the state from the northwest. Many locations will hit their highs for the day by the noon hour before readings begin falling back into the 40s and 50s late in the afternoon into the evening. Rainfall looks light at best, with any one spot getting up to a tenth of an inch at most.

FROSTY MORNINGS: The next several mornings will be quite chilly with lows down into the 20s to lower 30s every morning through Monday at least. Highs will be in the 50s to lower 60s with slightly warming readings into next week. There will be plenty of sunshine as well.

INCONSISTENTLY CONSISTENT: The Model runs that last few weeks have been very inconsistent with regards to the long term after the 7 day period and it continues with this run as well. Although there may be some brief cool spells into the middle of the month, readings will be at or above average for a while beginning later next week after this latest cold snap. No other trends are indicated at this time.
