The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for the entire state of Iowa (except Fremont County) for Saturday night into Sunday morning. Temperatures may drop to where a freeze is possible Sunday morning in the state. Frost is likely for most of the state so some frost and freeze advisories and warnings are likely to be issued later. Any hard freeze will effectively end the growing season in the state. This frost would come approximately one to two weeks ahead of normal. Make sure to take precautions such as covering plants or bringing them indoors to keep from freezing.
