CHILLY SATURDAY: Today will be showery during the morning and perhaps the early afternoon in the eastern counties while the west remains dry and mostly sunny. Temperatures will be in the 60s east to lower to middle 70s out west. However another spoke of energy is expected to come down from the northwest tonight (mainly after HS Football) which may kick off a few more showers but most places should remain dry. This will bring down much cooler air on Saturday. Readings will struggle to make it to 60° Saturday afternoon in the northern and eastern counties of the state. The west and south will see lower and middle 60s.
QUICKLY WARMING: A frosty morning perhaps Sunday morning will begin a slow warmup through the rest of the coming work week with temperatures back into the 70s ahead of the next system coming Tuesday night into Wednesday. Even after that front passes, there won’t be overly cool air behind it so there shouldn’t be a noticeable temperature difference.
INTO OCTOBER: Nothing has changed with regards to the possibilities for the first week or so of October. The main storm track as of this model run looks to be to our north, although there will be some chances of precipitation with temperatures stay near seasonal levels at this time.
