ANOTHER RAIN CHANCE: A bit better chance of showers will move through the state later tonight into Friday morning and early afternoon with another surge of cool air from the north. Amounts look to be light and spotty at best with a tenth or two being the heaviest amounts from this system.

COOL AND REBOUND: Saturday will be fairly cool across the state with 60s likely. There should be no issues regarding tailgating for college football games at this time other than some cool fall temperatures in the morning. Readings rebound back into the 70s for Sunday and into the new work week with mainly dry conditions at this point. The next chance of any precipitation looks to hold off toward the end of the week at the earliest after the disturbance tonight into Friday.

NO CHANGE INTO OCTOBER: No real changes looking into the first few days of October at this time, some cool pushes but not overly cold with some scattered rain showers but not overly heavy ones. It looks like the real heat is gone for the year at this time, we’ll continue to watch for any frost and freeze conditions in the coming weeks.
