The Twitter feeds that provide the weather alerts service on the sidebar of the IowaWX website have all been suspended by Twitter for “spam”. Now, as we all know, the IEMBOT feeds do not put spam on their feeds. Since they send out 50+ messages per day, Twitter’s automatic spam filter thinks of that as “spam” and they have been suspended for it. At this time, there is nothing we can do, but Daryl Herzmann from the Iowa Environmental Mesonet will try to resolve the issue with Twitter. Until then, the feeds on the sidebar will be offline. We will post another message when they return. Sorry for the inconvenience.
