Here is a tabulation of the summer of 2012 rainfall totals across the region. There were a few locations that aren’t on this list that have been in the past (Estherville, Ames, Marshalltown and Lamoni due to the climate data from NWS Des Moines failing to show the precipitation totals on their data anymore).

Many locations still ran a deficit for the summer and continue with one YTD as well, including several exceeding 10 inches. Some slight improvement is possible given the latest model runs (see earlier video)
