COOLER IN STORE: Temperatures will be dropping to seasonal levels, for mid to late September across the region over the next few days. It will feel a lot like fall with High School Football beginning again this coming Friday night for a few schools across the state. Highs in the upper 60s through the 70s with morning lows in the 40s and 50s with mainly sunny skies outside the slightest of chances of a small shower Sunday and Monday that will be VERY isolated.
NEXT CHANCE OF PRECIP: This looks to hold off until the middle to end of next week after a warmup brings readings back to seasonal levels for this time of year before another cold front from the west moves in with some showers and thunderstorms along it as well. The pattern looks to continue through the end of the month with several chances of rain every few days. We’ll see if this continues on future GFS Model Runs.
NOTE: Iowa Forecast Videos will be DISCONTINUED AND REPLACED with a new exciting Video Series on August 20th.
