SUNDAY RAIN: A great day in store once again with temperatures in the 70s and 80s across the state. Increasing clouds from the west will bring some rain showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two Saturday night into Sunday. Rainfall is looking light with many areas receiving a third of an inch or less.
WARMING TO MID-WEEK: Temperatures behind this system will slowly warm up through Wednesday when the next system approaches from the west. Readings will reach the 80s and lower 90s by Wednesday with increasing humidity. The system on Wednesday into early Thursday is stronger than the storm later tonight into Sunday, so a bit more rain is possible but it’s too early to determine exact amounts at this time, but a half inch is a good estimate at this time. Cooler air comes back to finish the week with readings back into the 70s and lower 80s.
WARMER END: The rest of the month looks slightly warmer than seasonal averages, but not extremely so. 80s to lower 90s look possible with a flat ridge over the southern half of the country and the main storm track shunted back to the north. We’ll see if this continues on future model runs or something new comes into play. We’ll just enjoy the cooler temperatures while we have them for the time being.
