The Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch effective until Midnight tonight for the following counties, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Shelby, Atchison MO, Thurston NE, Burt NE, Washington NE, Douglas NE, Sarpy NE, Cass NE and Otoe NE. Thunderstorms are expected to develop in this area over the next few hours. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats with any storms that do fire. These storms will be isolated in nature so some areas may not get any rainfall or severe weather at all. The storms will be out of the area later this evening.
