HEAT AND STORMS: There is going to be a lot of heat and very little chance of showers and thunderstorms unless you’re in the northern counties where the chances will be greater, but still very isolated. 90s and triple digits will be the norm through at least Wednesday when a cold front will move in Thursday bringing the rest of the state a shot at some rain, but still the chances will be isolated. Temperatures will finally cool off to near seasonal averages by the end of the week and into the weekend with 80s and lower 90s possible at that time.

AUGUST: GFS is still showing the core of the heat looking to stay away from the state for the time being. Although warmer than average temperatures are still possible into the first week of August, just not the scorching hot temperatures we’ve been seeing lately. We’ll continue to watch in future runs.
