HEAT WAVE AGAIN: The heat continues across the state, with a heat advisory across the eastern counties of the state where heat indices may get above 100°. Temperatures will get into the 90s to lower 100s with mainly sunny skies.

RAIN CHANCES: There is slight chances of showers and thunderstorms beginning late today and lasting through Thursday. The storms will be very isolated and not everyone will see rainfall each day if anything at all during the whole time this system moves through. Rainfall isn’t expected to be much, with some areas getting up to a quarter inch.

MORE HEAT: Temperatures will rebound back into the middle to perhaps upper 90s by the weekend and into early next week. Some rain is possible Monday but again this is very isolated and not everyone will see rain out of this either. It’s looking like RAGBRAI will remain hot throughout the rest of that week with temperatures looking warmer at the beginning of the week than toward the end.
