2012 Drought: Rainfall Deficits

With the drought continuing across the state and region, here is the latest rainfall deficits and a few locales that are ahead of seasonal rainfall averages, this is as of July 15th. Blue and Greenish colors indicate a surplus (very few locales), dark red indicates a deficit of 10% or less of seasonal rainfall, red indicates 10-30% deficit of seasonal rainfall. Pink indicates more than 30% down on seasonal rainfall.

Several locations have deficits of 7-10+ inches in the hole. Duluth got most of its rain during the historic flood a few weeks ago, thus the reason why their number is so high right now.

Later this week we will post the deficits since June 1st for all the cities on this image to show you how dry it has been in Meteorological Summer.
