ISOLATED RAIN AHEAD: There is an isolated shot at some showers and thunderstorms Friday into Saturday, but the chances are about 20-30% at best and not everyone will see rain out of this system. Any rain that does fall will be light with a tenth to quarter inch being the amounts of those that get some of the golden liquid. Until then it’s going to stay dry and after this system it’s only going to get worse.
IT GETS WORSE!: Oh yes, if you loved heat and humidity and dry weather, you’ll love what we have to offer for Sunday through Tuesday, more heat, more humidity and not a drop of rain to help alleviate the worsening drought conditions. Another chance moves in Wednesday that will bring the heat back down, but this chance as is the Friday Saturday chances aren’t very good at this time.
RAGBRAI: After several days of seeing some refreshing cool air from Canada during the RAGBRAI week, the GFS throws us a curve ball with this run bringing the heat back for round 3. Although the center is south of the state, it’s likely going to effect us here as well, with sunshine and no chance of rain and warm temperatures again.
