Slight Risk of Severe Weather Friday

There is a slight risk of severe weather today and tonight for a large portion of the state. The main threats with any storms that fire will be from large hail and damaging straight line winds. This is a conditional threat based on a wave moving along the stalled boundary that is situated currently over the southern half of the state. If the cap, that will be in place can break, thunderstorms will fire along the front and move mainly to the east. Stay tuned to any further updates on this possible severe weather threat.
