HOT!: It’s going to be very hot the next two days across the state. Temperatures will be well into the 90s with heat indices at and over 100 in many areas. A heat advisory may be issued but is not looking likely at this time. Another thing that doesn’t look likely is rainfall. The next best chance of widespread rain comes in Wednesday with a cold front that will also bring cooler temperatures for the rest of the week.
COOLER AND CALM: From mid-week on readings will be near seasonal levels in the lower to middle 80s with little if any chance of rain across the state, although there could be some, it’s too hard to pinpoint any possible mesoscale development this time of the year if any occurs. Temperatures will slowly rise once more by the weekend back to near or slightly over 90 by this coming weekend.
FARTHER OUT: No real trends past the 7 day period. The GFS is forecasting a possible warm up again toward the end of June into the first few days of July, so the 4th of July could be rather warm across the state, but any rainfall looks to be suspect at this point given the run to run discrepancies lately and the lack of any widespread rain across the entire state.
