SEVERE SUNDAY: There continues to be a slight risk of severe weather mainly this afternoon into tonight for all but the far eastern counties of the state (mainly west of a Prairie Du Chien to Fairfield line). The main threats would be from large hail and damaging winds. Much needed rain will also accompany the storms, with at least a quarter to 2/3rd of an inch possible, possibly more. The rain moves out by mid-afternoon on Monday bringing cooler and less humid air to the state for a few days next week.

REPEAT RERUN: We’ll be rerunning last week’s weather because it was so good and it about going to be the same this coming week as well. Readings will start out close to seasonal averages and slowly warm ahead of a cold front that will move into the state this following weekend. This system as of now does not looks as vigorous as the one of today, but we’ll continue to monitor any changes in future videos.

HEAT BACK: The GFS continues to show a possible heat wave toward the end of the run, about two weeks from now. There’s no real trend with it as the heat as come and gone and moved around, but there seems to be a tendency for a heat wave somewhere in the country in about two weeks time. Any new updates we’ll pass them along.
