WARM WEEKEND: Still looking like a very warm and humid weekend for the state and the area. Highs will get into the upper 80s to perhaps mid 90s across the state, with heat indices approaching 100. The rain will move into the state Sunday afternoon across the western counties and Sunday evening through Monday afternoon across the rest of the state. Rainfall will be around a quarter to half inch (hopefully). This will also bring temperatures back down next week into the lower and middle 80s for highs.

MORE DRY WEATHER: After this system moves past, it looks like more dry weather will return with slowly rising temperatures again heading into the next weekend. Could see some activity around the end of next week into the weekend. Will keep tabs on that in future videos. Further into the month, the pattern looks to get more active as today’s run does not show the heat wave it had yesterday (thank goodness), but we’ll keep watch to see if that comes back. Any major heat wave with the lack of widespread rainfall across the state could be very serious for farmers and their fields and livestock in future weeks.
