WARM WEATHER AHEAD: Temperatures will warm into the weekend with readings heading into the 90s along with higher dew points by Saturday and Sunday. Heat indices could approach 100 this weekend. The dry weather will continue as well with the next chance of rain moving in late Sunday into Monday.

SEASONAL AND DRY: The rain moves out Monday but it continues looking dry for a few more days next week but it will be cooler with readings in the 80s with lower dew points. There could be some more activity coming our way by the end of next week.

HEAT WAVE: The heat bubble that we mentioned a few days ago on the discussion has returned in this run and looks to take hold over a long period of the middle of June into the latter part of the month (at least the last 4-5 days of this run). The 588 ridge will be centered over the state and then slowly expand to include a large chunk of the center part of the country. There could a shower or storm that develops during afternoon heating but the chances will be slight to none and not everyone will see rain. This could be very disturbing for farmers that are seeing dry ground in their fields now. Any heat wave like the model is showing will only enhance any drought that is setting up in the state at this time.
