From the image above the cold front is currently moving through the central part of the state, the rain is mainly behind the front. The sky has cleared in the far NW part of the state and there is a possibility of patchy frost there tonight although no advisories have been issued for any Iowa counties as yet. The front will move through the rest of the state by this evening and will be followed by a drastic temperature drop of at least 15-20 degrees in only an hour or two.
