SLOWLY WARMING: Temperatures will be on a slow rise across the state this week with readings climbing well into the 80s and possibly a few lower 90s by late this week and this weekend. There will be a few slight chances of showers and thunderstorms but the chances will be less than 10% in any one area, so if you see a shower consider yourself lucky with the dry conditions we’ve been experiencing over the state over the last few weeks.

BETTER RAIN CHANCES: Shower and thunderstorm chances return to the forecast late on Friday and especially again late in the weekend into Monday of next week. A cold front will be moving across the state on Friday which could kick off a shower or storm, the warm will move back north as a warm front bringing the very warm conditions for the weekend. Monday will see an end to the warm weather with showers and thunderstorms at that time. There could be some severe weather possible with these storms but it’s too early to determine that at this time. Several more chances will come through again later next week as well.
