SEVERE IN THE WEST: There is a slight risk of severe weather for areas mainly west of Interstate 35 today and tonight. The main threats will be from large hail and damaging winds. These storms will likely be widely scattered with some places not getting a drop of rain from this system as it moves through the state into Monday. Any place that gets a thunderstorm may get a quick quarter to half inch of rain. The rain and storm threat moves out of the state Monday afternoon.
MAINLY DRY MAINLY SEASONAL: The rest of this upcoming week looks to be mainly dry, although the GFS isn’t ruling out a possible shower or storm each day through Friday, the chances will be slight to nil at this point. Readings will remain in the 70s and 80s during this time with plenty of sunshine. Lows will be in the 50s.
INTO JUNE: Farther into the run, there’s a few chances of rainfall heading into the middle of the month, the big heat bubble seen on the model two days ago has disappeared for the time being, so temperatures look to remain seasonal or close to it for the next two weeks at this point.
