RAIN!: Rain will move through the state today and be mainly out by late this afternoon and this evening, but the clouds look to stick around longer keeping readings today from getting much above 60. Many areas will see readings in the 50s for highs, about 20° below seasonal averages for this time of year. There will be a break on Friday however temperatures don’t really respond much with highs in the 60s. More rain returns Friday night into the first half of Saturday, but the rest of the weekend looks dry and much warmer.

HEADING HIGHER: Readings will be back to and above seasonal averages by this weekend and into next week with readings in the 70s and 80s for highs. Along with the warmer weather will come more chances of some showers and thunderstorms. Sunday night into Monday will be one chance and again Tuesday into Wednesday. Any rainfall would be needed given the dry weather we’ve had over the last month or so, although some areas have received quite a bit of rain during that time.

FARTHER OUT: Several systems are in the model run far into the month of June, but it’s too early to determine anything with any pinpoint accuracy at this time. Temperatures look to remain near seasonal norms throughout the rest of the period.
