The latest QPF chart that came out this morning is showing a band of possible heavy rainfall amounts coming into Iowa. The Chart can be accessed here
It shows the heaviest rain from the storm that will move through late this weekend into early next week may drop as much as 3-4 inches in the western part of Iowa, with at least 1/2 inch amounts in the eastern part (although this could go up in consecutive runs). This will likely not cause major flooding in the state, however with some trees beginning to lose their leaves, urban street flooding could be possible with clogged drains, especially in areas where heavy downpours occur. Another model will come out this evening.
