A very good day in Washington DC turned sour fast only minutes after returning the second rental car to the station. This involved, you guessed it luggage and that we’d have to take it on our night tour of DC. We were told three or four times that it would be ok to take it with us on the trip but then the bus driver “Big AL” said “What you doin’ with that luggage!” I should have said, what I was told to be doin’ with it, but we made it passed that obstacle, but this was to be averted if we had been able to store our luggage until the tour had ended at 10pm. “OH NO!” said the lady behind the counter, “We close at 10pm, they ain’t gonna wait around.” Well that meant lugging three pieces of luggage that aren’t light as a feather to a bus tour and a confrontation with “Big AL”. If that wasn’t bad enough, mother yelled at a man in front of the White House north lawn. Oh was that embarassing. And with the weather, which we haven’t gotten into yet, had been any nicer, I would have been happy, but I wasn’t because I didn’t bring any suntan lotion with me, and with white as pearl skin, that means one thing, SUNBURN! And now I look like I could put a Budweiser sticker on the balding forehead and sell beer. Calling all sponsors, red forehead for sale for the next week or so, real cheap!!

Right now I’m in the middle of having to stay up all night to get on a train that departs Union Station in Washington DC at 3:15am Friday, we’ll see if it gets here on time and departs. We’re supposed to have 5 hours in Newark, but I feel most of that time will be spent sleeping or trying to catch up on it. We’ll have a recap tomorrow night for the warm confines of home, which will likely be warm as the AC won’t have been on all week and warmer temperatures are on the way. Pictures may wait until Saturday when my sleep and sanity have also caught up with me as well.

NOTE: we will return to normal weather forecast videos this weekend, although I might not be able to do Saturday’s given that I do them late Friday night so Henry may do one or write a discussion. We’ll let you know.
