Late tonight I just happened to pop on to the National Hurricane Center website and I now see that we have a Tropical Storm brewing in the East Pacific. I laugh writing this, but below are some of the details on Tropical Storm Aletta, the first Eastern Pacific storm of the year.

As of the 8PM NHC Advisory, Aletta was located approximately 650 miles SSW of Manzanillo Mexico. This storm currently has very, very little or no potential of impacting land. It is currently brewing to the West at 12 MPH. Maximum Wind Speeds with this could top 40 MPH. Strengthening is expected in the next day or so followed by a slow weakening.
