THE WEEKEND: Still looks to be an almost perfect weekend, with only a slight chance of an early shower in the eastern counties on Saturday morning. Temperatures will be seasonal with 60s and 70s across the state. Today will have the best chance of rain by late this afternoon across the west and evening and overnight across the rest of the state. Amounts will remain under a tenth of an inch.

DRY WEEK: The following week looks mainly dry across the state with seasonal temperatures and sunshine abounding. The next chance of rain looks to come back a week from today with a storm system coming in from the west.

RACING TROPICAL SYSTEM: The model continues to show a tropical system moving from either the Gulf of Mexico or Caribbean Sea northeastward along the coast Tuesday through Friday (May 22nd-25th) of the following week. This could effect a possible storm that will be in the area that Tuesday and could last into Wednesday, but we’ll continue to monitor.
