The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm watch until 5am Sunday morning for the following counties, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Ida, Monona, O’Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux, Woodbury, Nobles MN, Jackson MN, Union SD, Burt NE, Dakota NE and Thurston NE. Storms have developed across central Nebraska this evening and are slowly moving to the east. The main threats from these storms will be large hail and damaging winds. Some heavy rain is also possible with these storms as well which may lead to some brief ponding of water in low-lying areas.
