The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe thunderstorm watch effective until 1am Wednesday morning for the following counties, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Ida, Monona, Plymouth, Woodbury, Dakota NE, Burt NE and Thurston NE. Storms have fired along a line extending north central Nebraska into South Dakota this afternoon. These storms will move off to the east and northeast. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats with these storms as they move through the area through 1am. More watches are likely later this evening and overnight.
