THURSDAY WXUPDATE: Another Day of Severe Weather

These severe weather chances won’t end for a while! A Quasi-Stationary front will set up shop Thursday with ongoing thunderstorms most likely continuing to progress across Iowa during the day. South of these storms, moderate to strong destabilization is expected to happen, with storms to fire up in the Upper Mississippi valley in the afternoon hours. The primary threats with these storms will be large hail, damaging winds, flash flooding, and possibly an isolated tornado. Some of these storms do have the possibility of becoming an MCS (Mesoscale Convective System) (Larger Scaled Thunderstorm).

We will continue to monitor this and all storms and break in updates as needed.
