NOT FOR LONG: The warm temperatures will encompass the entire state today with some 70s and 80s. This will be short lived with a cold front moving through the state later today into tonight. Some showers and storms are possible with the frontal passage. Some of the storms could be strong to severe with large hail being the main threat as the storms sweep to the east and southeast. Best chances for this will be in the eastern counties. Readings take a nose down into the 50s and 60s through the weekend into early next week.
WEEKEND MESS: Another system moves across Friday into Saturday with some showers and possibly an embedded thunderstorm. Friday night could get interesting especially in the far northern counties where temperatures will drop into the 30s. Some of the rain may mix with some wet snowflakes, but DON’T BE CONCERNED, this is just a possibility at this time. Readings will warm early to middle of next week.
INTO MAY: No real pattern has set up, with several storms possible into the first ten days of the month. Temperatures at least on this run look to remain within a few degrees of average across the state.
