RAINY DAYS: A few days of rain are in the forecast beginning later today in the western counties and ending Tuesday morning across the east. In between that point scattered chances of showers and thunderstorms will be possible. This will not be an all day rainfall, with many dry hours in between. Some storms could be severe across southwestern Iowa on Sunday, but most of the threat will be to our south and southwest. Temperatures will be back into the 60s to near 70 for highs during this time, with lows in the 40s and 50s.

FAST FLOW: Following this system, the flow turns zonal with quick moving storm systems moving from west to east. This looks to bring another system in sometime the middle to end of next week, but it’s too early to determine anything with regards to that system until this current one gets out of the state. The pattern though looks to get more active through the end of April, with another large storm in about two weeks time, followed by more cold air. We’ll see if this continues on the model in coming days.
