FROSTY FRIDAY: Temperatures tonight are going to head down toward the lower and middle 30s, leading to some light frost. The best chances will be across the northeastern half of the state where some of the counties are under Freeze watches Thursday night into Friday morning. The dry air also brings the temperatures up during the day but only into the 50s and lower 60s.

THE WEEKEND: A quick moving system moves through the state on Saturday with some chances of showers and isolated thunderstorms. Rainfall won’t be much of a factor with many areas seeing a tenth of an inch or less. Isolated heavier totals up to a quarter inch are possible. Sunday looks great with readings in the 50s and lower 60s with some northwesterly winds.

FOLLOWING WEEK: More frost and freeze conditions possible next week as well, Tuesday morning especially, along with Wednesday morning. Readings back down into the 30s with highs in the 50s and lower 60s. The storm we’ve been seeing on runs on the 13th has sped up and has also moved further south. This may cause the entire system to miss the state entirely are just brush the southern counties with some clouds and a few showers. After that it might be several more days before another system comes along to bring some widespread rain to the state.
