The rain shield is beginning to move east of Interstate 35, isolated showers exist west of Interstate 35. The heaviest rain is located in central Iowa between Des Moines and Waterloo. The rain shield has moved to almost US Hwy 18. It should get as far as the Iowa Minnesota border by around 11pm. The heaviest rainfall will stay south of US Hwy 20 as it continues moving eastward.

Down south Hurricane Ike continues moving closer to the upper Texas Coast. It should make landfall in a few hours.
