Severe Weather Threat for Monday

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk of severe weather for today and tonight for the western 2/3rds of the state. This is for areas along and west of US Hwy 63. The main threats from any of the thunderstorms will be from large hail and damaging winds. A Moderate risk of severe weather is outlooked for southern Oklahoma and a large section of Texas where all modes of severe weather are possible including tornadoes. Along with the threat of severe weather, some heavy rainfall is possible and given the dry ground, there could be some flooding albeit minor. There is no threat of severe weather for Tuesday onward, however the threat of showers and thunderstorms does continue.
